PRACTICAL INFORMATION
THE LOCATION
Suryalila is in the heart of Spain's Andalusian hills in the south.
On the edge of a stunning, mountainous national park, the property sits in a river valley overlooking country farms and the white lakeside village of Bornos.
Suryalila Retreat Centre, originally an olive hacienda, is located close to the charming villages of Arcos de la Frontera and Prado del Rey.
It's approximately 45 minutes from the historic and beautiful walled city of Cadiz and an hour's drive from Sevilla, the vibrant heart of Andalucía.

Swimming pool
Suryalila has a salt water swimming pool that is avaliable for us 24/7.
The pool is set amidst stunning and vast vistas of the beautiful Spanish countryside. Summer months in Andalucia average around 30º Celsius, so taking a dip in the pool can be a very regular event! There is a lovely covered terrace with dappled light which offers shade from the hottest part of the day. You can also choose to sun yourself poolside on our wooden sun-beds in the full sunshine.
The pool is chlorine-free, and the salt water makes you wonderfully buoyant! Perfect for floating on your back as the clouds drift by…
There are fresh water poolside showers and all guests are provided with large bath sheet on arrival.
Please note there is no lifeguard on duty.
Relaxing in the Pagodas and Hang Out Areas
At Suryalila Retreat Centre, they take relaxing to an artform. They have several lovely pagodas to hang out in, as well as a few hammocks under the olive trees and numerous artfully placed benches.
These are great spots to relax, read a book, have a chat, drik a cup of tea, contemplate the expansive views, or just enjoy the different views; the glorious Suryalila sunsets, the vegetable garden and the glorious view of Bornos Lake and the lovely views over the ruined convent and rolling hills.
Amrita Cafe
While enjoying the healthy lifestyle at Suryalila, you can treat yourself to delicious organic goodies. At the Amrita Cafe, you can find healthy snacks, vegan ice cream and a selection of beverages including organic wine and beer. They serve delicious coffee, different hot drinks like golden milk, chai latte or ceremonial cacao, smoothies and cold pressed juices.
Should you wish to have a drink over dinner you can enjoy one from our selection of the best local organic wines.
There will be an honesty list to sign when taking these items and you may pay for everything at the end of your stay.
The Amrita Cafe in the lobby is open every day during breakfast and after lunch.

The Om Dome – The Magnificent Yoga Hall!
In the Dome there is a massive bay window overlooking one of the best views of beautiful rolling hills and a ruined convent. The Dome is very spacious.
The outside of the Dome is being constructed to resemble a Nepalese temple with a golden stupa on top, prayer flags and the Buddha eyes. Inside the Dome they have built two long solid walls, which are beautifully decorated with a mural of Hindu and Tibetan imagery.
The Dome has an underfloor heating and cooling system, a state of the art sound system and atmospheric lighting.
Food
Gourmet Organic Vegetarian Cuisine
"At Suryalila Retreat Centre, we pride ourselves on our outstanding vegetarian fare. We are working towards supplying our kitchen with more and more of our beautiful homegrown produce from our own organic farm and garden!
Our kitchen is a happy and bustling environment and the cooks are all very creative and talented. The Suryalila Kitchen specialises in gourmet international vegetarian cuisine, using the freshest seasonal, locally-sourced organic fruits and vegetables available, artfully prepared in a varied and truly eclectic international menu. Eggs are gathered daily from our own happy chickens and when the season allows you will enjoy the freshest of fruit picked from our own orchard of apricot, peach, fig and pear trees. We cater for vegans, non-dairy, non-gluten and nut free.
If you are a little nervous about going vegetarian – don't be! Our gourmet vegetarian cuisine will be one of the greatest food experiences of your life and we promise you will be raving about the food long after you return home!"

HOW TO GET THERE
You can fly into one of these three airports. Suryalila recommend that you fly into Seville.

Jerez de la Frontera
Malaga
There are transfers from any of these airports to Suryalila. This is not included in the retreat price, this is paid for this additionally. It is charged per car, and Suryalila has a transfer partner, Sierra Viva Viajes, that will try to match you with other arriving guests to spread out the cost. Here's what the transfers cost per car:
Seville: €100
Jerez: €80
Malaga: €160
Alternatively, there are several car rental companies available locally. Seville is roughly 75 minutes away by car, Jerez is 50 minutes and Malaga is 2 hours.
You could also take the bus to Villamartín, a town 15 minutes away from Suryalila. You can find the bus timetable here. You need to arrange a taxi to pick you up, which costs €20 per car.

ACCOMMODATION AND PRICES
Suryalila provides different levels of accommodation from glamping tents to suites.

Every room is individually decorated with hand-picked pieces from Spain, Bali, India and Morocco, inspired by founder Vidya's travels around the world.
Combining her work as a fashion designer in Bali with a passion for art and interiors, Vidya - the founder of Suryalila - brings her personal touch to every corner of Suryalila with flair and imagination.
She loves to combine bright colours, interesting textures and eye-catching artwork. Her intention is that everyone who comes here feels joyful and inspired by the vibrant decor.
The double and twin rooms are located in the main building. The main building is divived into smaller sections that they call "casas". Every casa has three or four rooms, and every casa has their own communal area.
Prices
All prices are in euro, for one person for the whole retreat, including accomodation, all vivencias, full board - three meals a day and dinner on arrival day and breakfast on departure day.

Extra night at Suryalila
Unfortunately it is not possible to stay an extra night at Suryalila before and/or after the retreat, since they are praparing for other retreats both before and after the Biodanza Summer Retreat.

- pay a deposit of 150 euros (non-refundable).
When your deposit is paid your place is assured.
The rest of your payment needs to be paid until the end of the early bird period that you register within.
